Chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has said that the new industrial policy of the state ‘Ti-PASS’ would be launched officially in the presence of big industrialists of the country.
Speaking to reporters at Telangana Bhavan, the chief minister said: “Big industrialists across the country will be invited and the new industrial policy will be launched with single window system without grills,” Rao said.
Rao reiterated that Telangana would become power surplus by 2018. “We will achieve 23,000 MW power supply by 2018 and see that there are no power interruptions. The Water Grid too will be completed and provide piped water supply to every household in the state. We will not seek votes, if we fail to complete Water Grid,” Rao said.
He also announced that a separate Pollution Control Board will be created for Telangana. Rao averred that as along as the people were with the government, no one could do anything. “Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) received huge response for the membership drive. The government will implement developmental and welfare programmes announced by TRS government with more commitment,” the chief minister said. He said the government would be zero-tolerant to corruption and run the administration in the same direction in future too. “With the response to TRS membership drive, which is almost double than the expected, we will take more care in running the administration,” Rao said. The membership so far received was around 50 lakhs. The TRS target was just 30 lakhs.
Rao said every ordinary member of TRS would get health insurance of `2 lakh each. The online membership data would be submitted to insurance company, Rao added.
