Nandyala: YSR Congress party MLA Bhooma Nagi Reddy has approached the State Human Rights Commission, complaining against Nandyala police for harassing him. He complains that they have opened a rowdy sheet on his name and simultaneously filed three cases against him for no strong reasons. He was booked for allegedly threatening the TDP counselors during Nandyala municipal counselors meeting held few weeks ago.

Bhooma Nagi Reddy claims that TDP has tried to rope him into the party, but when failed it offered party ticket to his daughter Akhila Priya Reddy for contesting the bye-elections necessitated with the sudden death of his wife Sobha Nagi Reddy. But, she also turned down the TDP offer. Ever since, Nandyala police encouraged by the ruling TDP leaders are harassing him ignoring that he is an MLA. He said that police are trying to project a petty incident into a serious one merely to please the ruling TDP leaders of the district. Hence, he appealed the SHRC to take appropriate action against Nandyala police and relieve him from their harassment.

If what he is claiming is true then TDP leaders may be doing very wrong. If they really encouraging the police to harass the opposition party MLA, it will be setting an ugly tradition forever.
