Hyderabad: A 30-year-old man from Nacharam in the city attempted suicide right in front of the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao's camp office at Greenlands on Saturday.

Disappointed over not being allowed to meet Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao by the security guards, Raju tried to set himself ablaze by pouring kerosene that he brought along with him.

However, police swiftly moved in, took him into custody and shifted him to the Panjagutta police station.

Raju alleged that he was wrongly removed from his job and wanted to explain his position to the CM.
