YRCP demands probe in to blaze in farm lands,YS Jagan Mohan Reddy,Ambati Rambabu
Demanding a high level inquiry into the alleged fire mishap in the farms in six villages falling in the orbit of capital city, YSR Congress has slammed the TDP ministers for leveling baseless allegations against YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
“This is not an accident but a pre-planned assault on the farmers by setting ablaze their farm implements and it is not a coincidence that the mishap occurred only in the farm lands of those who opposed to give up their land which strengthens the perception that it was an organized incident.
We demand an inquiry into the incident by CBI or a sitting High Court judge to bring out the reasons behind the so called fire mishap which we consider an act to terrorise the farmers who refused to give land for the capital,” party official spokesperson Ambati Rambabu told reporters here on Monday.
TDP Ministers’ statements blaming YS Jagan Mohan Reddy for the incident are politically motivated and far from truth. “It is the resolve of the TDP government to build the capital around Talluru that points the needle of suspicion towards the ruling party and the ministers blaming YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is ridiculous.
To clear the air, we demand that an inquiry by external agency should be held to bring out the facts as the State has on numerous occasions misused the official and police machinery to settle political scores. The case against our MLA in the Saraswthi Cement Company is one such example, “he said.
The committee formed by YS Jagan Mohan Reddy to oversee the capital formation, will visit the affected villages on Tuesday and will submit its report. YSR Congress will be with the farmers and fight for their cause. We are not against the capital formation but we are against the forceful acquisition of land and we are against such arm-twisting tactics.
The fire mishap occurring only in the fields of those who vehemently opposed to give up land for capital formation raises many doubts and to clear them a high level inquiry is needed and the ministers’ statements on YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will boomerang on them, he said.
