YS Jagan can't visit Jerusalem,CBI
YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's request to undertake a pilgrimage to the holy Jerusalem has been watered down by the CBI. The CBI has opposed the plea of YSRC chief and MLA YS Jagan Mohan Reddy for court permission to visit Jerusalem pilgrimage in June or July this year.
We all know Jagan who is also leader of Opposition in AP assembly is involved in a Disproportionate Assets case probed by CBI with IPC cases 20 B, 420 and 409 and also PMLA charges.
Opposing his request for permission to visit Jerusalem, the CBI said the case was in final stages of discharge and that Jagan had very highly influential connections and hence his leaving the country was not in good interests of the country and justice.
The CBI case hoisted on Jagan following a complaint by former TDP MP and a former Congress Minister has already led to his jail term for 16 months. The CBI has filed 11 charge sheets and the ED has so far seized properties termed as proceeds of crime of Rs 1400 crore so far.
