HYDERABAD: The state government is planning to introduce online evaluation system for intermediate public exam, on the lines of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), said deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari here Friday.
Talking to media persons at Secretariat, the minister said the government was planning major changes in Intermediate education. There is also a plan to replace the existing mark system with grades.
He assured that, soon all teacher vacancies in government colleges and universities will be filled. The KG to PG free education scheme will be implemented from 2016-17 academic year. It would be implemented in three segments with different stages of education in each segment.
A new State Universities Act is also being prepared with several amendments to the existing one. Once the process is over, regular Vice Chancellors will be appointed to all State universities within four months.
The minister further said, soon all services in various education departments will go online. To strengthen the school education system, government is planning to build around 1,190 residential schools across the state.
