Sticking to his promise to AP CM Chandrababu Naidu, Telangana CM KCR has already left for Suryapet in Nalgonda via road. The TRS supremo will stay in Nalgonda tonight and in the morning, he will fly in a helicopter to reach Uddandarayanipalem, the heartland of the Amaravati foundation stone laying ceremony.
This will be KCR's first ever visit to Andhra Pradesh after several years and post the state's bifurcation. Common people and political circles in both the Telugu states are eagerly awaiting KCR's speech during the Amaravati inaugural event. Whether KCR will talk about finding solutions to the ongoing issues between AP and Telangana will be keenly watched.
Since the formation of new governments last year, both AP and Telangana have been at loggerheads regarding several issues. The first and foremost problem was the Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) followed by the irrigation and drinking water distribution of the Nagarjunasagar. Apart from these two main issues, fee reimbursement for AP students in Telangana and distribution of High Court also add to the conflict between AP and Telangana.
However, with both the CMs joining hands for a good cause, people from both the regions are hopeful of a positive outcome of KCR's visit to Andhra Pradesh.
