A day before his 37th birthday, Virender Sehwag seems to have announced his retirement from international cricket.
According to the social media, India's former opening batsman who currently plays Ranji Trophy for Haryana has decided to hang up his boots.
Last week, Sehwag's Indian teammate Zaheer Khan announced his retirement from international cricket. Sehwag was part of the 2011 World Cup winning squad and has several cricket records to his name.
Sehwag has the fastest triple ton in Test cricket - off 278 balls against South Africa in 2008. He was also the first Indian to score a triple century in Tests when he hit 309 against Pakistan in 2004. Sehwag also held the highest individual score in ODIs at one point when he hit 219 against West Indies in 2011.
