Small-screen actress Harjit Kaur aka Rupa attempted suicide by plunging herself into Hussain Sagar lake.

She was immediately rescued by the lake police and sent for medical treatment.

Twenty eight year-old Harjit Kaur is doing negative roles tele-serials like Chandramukhi, Arundhati, Antahpuram and Sikharam. She is reportedly in a relationship with Keval Singh, a Punjabi youth. They were to enter the wedlock recently.

However, Keval reportedly told her about the opposition from his parents. Dejected, Harjit Kaur decided to take her life. He came to Hussain Sagar and jumped into the waters. However, lake police reacted quickly and rescued her. A case has been registered.
