Bandipotu Movie Review

Allari Naresh hasn't scored a hit after 'Sudigadu' (2012). Hence he would be expecting high on Bandipotu , produced by his brother Aryan Rajesh, under the banner of his father's name E. V .V. Cinema.  Indraganti Mohana Krishna (Grahanam, Astha Chamma, Golconda High School, Anthaka Mundu Aa Tarvatha) also would be putting all his hopes on Bandipotu.

Story:

Bandipotu Movie is based on deceiving 3 people by the Hero.

Vishwa (Allari Naresh), a conman who leads life with certain principles, was approached by Jahnavi (Eesha) with an attractive deal that's really hard to turn down. The task is to cheat 3 High-Profile People (namely Maharandam [Tanikella], Seshagiri Rao [Rao Ramesh], Bhale Babu [Posani]) in the society. Why Jahnavi wishes to take revenge on these three powerful people and How does Vishwa deceives the trio using his tricks forms the rest of the story.

Artists Performance:

Allari Naresh: 'Bandipotu' marks the makeover of this Comedy Hero. Apart from trying new avatar, attempting different body language and giving settled performance when required, Naresh uses his trademark comic timing to create more impact throughout the course of the movie.

Eesha: After making debut with 'Anthaka Mundu Aa Tarvatha', This beauty waited for over an year to sign her second Telugu flick and she does justice to her role.

Saptagiri as TV5 Reporter entertains. Srinivas Avasarala does a pretty good job. Sampoornesh Babu as Naresh's Friend is completely wasted. Tanikella Bharani uses his years of experience to good effect. Posani as politician and Rao Ramesh as businessman are impressive. Shraddha Das sizzles in the Item Number. Rest of the cast does a fine job.

Plus Points:

Allari Naresh
Cinematography

Minus Points:

- First Half
- Sampoornesh Babu

Analysis:

Director Indraganti Mohana Krishna carved a niche for himself with his choice of film. When a filmmaker of his calibre teams up with a hero like Allari Naresh who has got a terrific comic timing, Audience expect the film to be an out-and-out entertainer. To set the record straight, 'Bandipotu' is upto Indraganti's past works!

Kalyani Konduri music is pretty good. PG Vinda's Cinematography is laudable. Dialogues are well written. Editing is decent enough. EEV Cinema Banner's rich production values are an asset.

Allari Naresh banked heavily on the track record of Indraganti Mohana Krishna (Grahanam, Astha Chamma, Golconda High School, Anthaka Mundu Aa Tarvatha) as a filmmaker and it paid off. Although 'Bandipotu' starts on a slow note, the momentum picks-up from the pre-Interval and its very entertaining from thereafter till the very end. This film has got a nice story and good humour to make it a one-time watchable inspite of some predictable twists.

Box Office: Allari Naresh hasn't scored a hit after 'Sudigadu' (2012). Inspite of the flop streak, 'Bandipotu' will have a good opening as the word-of-mouth is positive and It would revive the career of 'Sudden Star'.

Final Verdict:
Public would have expected the film to be an out-and-out entertainer. Indraganti Mohana Krishna and 'Sudden Star' Allari Naresh combination is not upto the mark though it's watchable for once.
