Film industry and theaters have suffered a lot during the peak days of Telangana agitation. Telangana activists created as much as ruckus as possible back then by stalling film shootings and film releases and screenings. Once the Telangana state is formed, every one thought that the troubles will end but not.

Telangana's Cinematography Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav announced that the government will very soon crack whip on Film theaters who have been evading Entertainment taxes to the government. In general, it is not wrong to pin down those who are evading taxes but the government is particularly target those theaters which are in the lease of Andhra People.

It is quite common practice that Film theaters under report collections in the Daily Collection Reports (DCR) and then evade taxes. Such theaters should be definitely cracked but targeting only those theaters owned by Andhra people is not justified. It is said that GHMC is already preparing a list of such theaters.

Interestingly Talasani Srinivas Yadav who was elected as MLA of Sanathnagar constituency from TDP party won solely due to Settlers voters and now he joined in TRS and is resorting to harassment of settlers.
