Telangana ACB sleuths raided the houses of former Director of Medical and Health Department Sambasiva Rao here this morning in connection with the allegations of kickbacks in the purchase of 108 vehicles, medicines and hospital equipment when Dr. Rajaiah had worked as Health Minister.

The former top Health Department official was very close to Dr. Rajaiah who was dropped from the cabinet by Chief Minister KCR. The Chief Minister dismissed him from the Cabinet two months ago after his reported involvement in the kickbacks surfaced.

The houses and offices of Sambasiva Rao's relatives are also being raided by the special ACB teams.

ACB raids were continuing when reports last came in.
