Pattiseema Lift Irrigation project which was initiated by the Government of Andhra Pradesh is creating anger among the farmers in Krishna & West Godavari district. Several farmers’ organisations from Krishna and Godavari districts are making protest to stop. Former Congress leader Undavalli Arun Kumar has given helping hand to farmers who are making protest against Government on Pattiseema Lift Irrigation project.

He slammed AP CM Chnadrababu Naidu that in sake of improving TDP Party in Telangana, Chandra Babu is trying to stop Pollavaram and that’s why is taking the initiate on Pattiseema Lift Irrigation project. The project envisages lifting of Godavari waters at Pattiseema in West Godavari district and diverting it to Krishna reservoir at Prakasam barrage through the canal network that has more or less been completed for Polavaram project.

If AP government takes 80TMC water through Pattiseema Lift Irrigation project than Supreme Court definitely pass the verdict to stop Pollavaram project.  He also said that as per APp reorganisation act 11th schedule 4,5 & 6 except ongoing project, for any new project , it should be discussed in Reorganisation central body  and the project should get permission from central board but TDP government is not considering these things. He slammed that for party benefits only TDP is hurrying to initiate Pattiseema Lift Irrigation project.
