New Delhi: Hinduja Group flagship company Ashok Leyland on Monday reported a 16.68 per cent increase in total sales at 9,804 units last month.
The company had registered sales of 8,402 units in October 2014.
Sales of medium and heavy commercial vehicles jumped 22.36 per cent to 7,177 units in October this year as against 5,865 units in the year-ago period, the company said in a filing to the BSE.
Light commercial vehicles sales were up 3.54 per cent at 2,627 units this year compared with 2,537 units in October 2014.
As of 3:13 p.m., shares in Ashok Leyland were trading 3.4 per cent lower at Rs 90.45 apiece on the BSE, whose benchmark Sensex index was down 0.4 per cent.
