Stylish Star Allu Arjun's Sarrainodu surprised fans and trade circles by remaining unaffected with the poor critic ratings and average word of mouth it opened to on its release day a couple of weeks ago. While many thought that Sarrainodu will end up as a disaster, the film is now racing ahead at the box-office.
Until yesterday, Sarrainodu collected close to 58 crore share worldwide while the overall gross will touch the 90 crore mark. Being just 10 crore away from the 100 crore mark, it might seem to be a cake walk for the film to cross the 100 crore gross milestone. However, Bunny has a big threat in the form of this week's releases, 24 and Supreme.
24's advance booking are quite solid thanks to the presence of Suriya and even the successful track record of the film's director Vikram Kumar is adding to the craze for this 6th May release. On the other hand, Supreme is releasing on May 5th and being a mass action entertainer, the advance bookings are decent for the film and it will surely strike Sarrainodu hard, if it manages to get positive talk on its opening day.
This scenario left everyone wondering if Bunny will realize his 100 crore gross dream, sustaining the 24 and Supreme storm. The film will no doubt enter the 60 crore share mark, surpassing Race Gurram to become Bunny's career best earner. But all eyes are on the 100 crore magical number. Can Bunny do it from now on?
