If the inside buzz in the Film Nagar circles is to be believed, the City Civil Court issued notices to the makers of Superstar Mahesh Babu's blockbuster film, Srimantudu.
The notices have been sent to the film's director Koratala Siva, producers at Mythri Movie Makers Naveen Yerneni, Ravi Shankar and CV Mohan and even the Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan who will star in the film's Hindi remake.
The City Civil Court apparently issued notices to the film's unit following a petition filed by a writer named Sarath Chandra who alleged that the makers plagiarized his Chachentha Prema novel which was published in a leading Telugu weekly magazine in 2012. Apparently, the case has been scheduled for a hearing on March 4.
After the film became a blockbuster, Sarath Chandra came out in open and approached media and claimed that Srimanthudu's story has striking similarities with his novel Chachentha Prema which had the backdrop of Veligodu project.
Sarath even lodged a complaint against Koratala Siva at the Telugu Film Writer's Association. Let's wait to hear the makers' version about this case and allegations.
