Comedian turned hero Sunil came for audience verdict with a family entertainer Krishnashtami released on last Friday. After taking long gap after delivering few flops, Sunil hoped the Vasu Varma directorial will grant him a success. Moreover, the film was made under the prestigious Sri Venkateswara banner of Dil Raju.
Although Krishnashtami got mixed reviews, collections are all time high in Sunil's career. The film minted over Rs 6 crores in Andhra Pradesh and Nizam in its opening weekend. According to trade reports, the film is doing decent business in week days too.
Krishnashtami has been made on a moderate budget and the movie is likely to end as average venture. In fact, trade pundits expected the movie would become a loss venture for the makers, owing to mixed reviews. But, they have changed their mind after seeing the trade reports.
The film features glamour divas Dimple Chopade and Nikki Galrani playing the lead roles opposite Sunil. Dinesh Kanagaratnam composed music and Chota K Naidu handled the cinematography.
