There are lots of discussions happening on social media platforms regarding NTR's Nannaku Prematho's latest achievement of entering the Rs 50 crore club. While some say that the film is yet to reach the magical mark, NTR fans are in no mood to pay heed to anyone and are busy celebrating Young Tiger's first 50 crore film.
The confusion surrounding Nannaku Prematho's 50 crore record rose with the inconsistent numbers and reports published by various trade pundits. Just to clarify, the film has indeed surpassed the 50 crore share mark, quenching the long due thirst of NTR and his diehard fans.
That said, this is a surprisingly delayed feat by the phenomenal 32-year-old star who gave an industry hit with Simhadri and recreated box-office records with several of his films in the early stages of his career. But still, joining his fellow stars who entered the 50 crore milestone is indeed a memorable achievement and this surely calls for a party for NTR and his fans.
Let's see at what age the top stars in Tollywood have entered 50 crore club.
Ram Charan: His biggest hit in career is Magadheera which collected a share of Rs 74 crores worldwide. Charan was 24 then. The record was unbeaten for many years and Ram Charan hasn't scored such true commercial hit till date.
Pawan Kalyan: He entered 50 crore club with Gabbar Singh which raked over Rs 60 crores worldwide. Pawan then scored industry hit with Attarintiki Daredi that minted around Rs 76 crores for full run. Pawan Kalyan was 41 when Gabbar Singh hit the screens.
Mahesh Babu: Dookudu took him to the club with Rs 59 crore shares worldwide. Mahesh Babu was 36 when Dookudu was released. His last outing Srimanthudu ended as second biggest grosser in Tollywood with over Rs 80 crore shares worldwide.
Allu Arjun: The Stylish Star achieved 50 crore mark with Race Gurram which minted over Rs 57 crores worldwide. Bunny was 31 then. His other film S/O Satyamurthy had almost come close to the mark.
Prabhas: He was not in the race for top hero position in Tollywood, but Baahubali provided him good recognition across the nation. The film collected a share of Rs 200 crores. The young rebel star scored industry hit at the age of 35. Now, Prabhas is likely to beat his own record with Baahubali part 2.
Final conclusion is everyone in Tollywood is doing well and is enlarging their business and stardom every year. Good thing is Telugu cinema is growing bigger gradually.
