The battle between the senior Tamil actor turned politician Sarath Kumar and young star hero Vishal has taken a complete new turn, with Sarath Kumar slapping a defamation suit worth 10 crores against Vishal's baseless allegations of financial impropriety and attempt to damage his and Nadigar Sangam's (Tamil Film Artistes Association) reputation.
Sarath Kumar took this legal step after Vishal did not oblige his demand for an unconditional apology for his scathing remarks on Sarath Kumar of corruption. Vishal, along with his team comprising of Karthi, Nasser etc, has been taking on Sarath Kumar led team in the upcoming Nadigar Sangam elections which are due on 18th October.
While Sarath Kumar and his wife and senior actress Radhikaa came down heavily on Vishal and his team, the younger brigade seems to be unrelentingly fearless in voicing against the seniors. Confirming the defamation suit, Radhikaa tweeted saying, "This shd put an end 2 slander, which had so called friends,co stars ,CCL team&fans believing in this rubbish."
