Ram Gopal Varma's Vangaveeti which released yesterday opened up with a mixed response from the critics and the audience. However, the collections on day 1 are good for the movie.

It collected 25 lakhs share in Guntur, 24.3 lakhs share in East Godavari, Krishna - 20.5 lakhs on day 1. The Total AP/TS collections of the movie will be around 2.5 crores share which is a good amount for the film with new faces and best among Ram Gopal Varma's films in recent times.
 
Even Ram Gopal Varma also said that collections were good on opening day via his Twitter handle.

He said "The tremendous opening and success of Vangaveeti proves that a film made with sincerity can be as big as a big star cast film"

He gives entire credit to the lead cast which helped in making the film watchable with their superb performances.

He said "Vangaveeti's success primarily belongs to the fantastic performances delivered by Sandy,Vamsi,Sritej,Kautilya and Naina..I thank all of them"

Finally, we need to wait and see how much it collects in its further at the box office in coming days.
