19-year-old Tamil Nadu boy arrested for posting child porn on social media

Days after the government imposed a ban on websites indulging in child pornography, the CB-CID wing of Tamil Nadu police have arrested a 19-year-old boy for uploading child porn on social media website.

The boy was arrested in Coimbatore town of Tamil Nadu after he uploaded pictures of children, which he downloaded from the internet, on social media with vulgar comments.

He was booked under Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, and other sections of the IT Act. The youth was later remanded to judicial custody.

Tamil Nadu Police seized his mobile phone and SIM cards.
