TIRUMALA: Amaravati — the new capital of AP — will be a world famous capital city not only for its global urban standards but also its aesthetic values and e-hub, according to Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. He said this after accepting the holy soil and holy water collected from the Seven Hills — to be used in the construction of the new capital on October 22 — from TTD chairman Ch Krishnamurthy.
He said: “With the blessings of Lord Venkateswara, I consider myself fortunate to be at the forefront in building this world class capital. The capital formation is blessed by Lord Venkateswara and there is a positive and overwhelming response to the campaign of ‘Mana Matti-Mana Neeru- Mana Amaravati- Mana Ituka’ from all over the State, country and also overseas.”
“We are procuring soil and water from all the holy and historic places across the country so that the sacrifices of prominent freedom-fighters and other achievers will inspire us in the formation of the new capital,” he added.
Appreciating the TTD authorities for providing the holy soil and holy water procured from various spiritual places on the Tirumala Hills, he said: “I thank all those who have supported the new capital. Also, I want to congratulate the officials of the TTD for their effort in collecting the water and soil from the sacred ‘thirthalu’ and seven peaks of Tirumala.”
