Appropriation Bill passed with voice vote in AP Assembly

Appropriation Bill that envisages hike in salaries of Andhra Pradesh (AP) legilators and members of Legislative Council, has been passed by a voice vote in AP Assembly. The Speaker announced this after a debate on the Bill, which was opposed by a lone YSRCP legislator Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy. He said that people will not accept the Bill as the state is facing a deficit budget. But Jagan said that he would not oppose the Bill as his party MLAs too are a part of Amenities Committee that put forth the proposal.
