Oopiri Movie Review, Oopiri Review, Oopiri Telugu Movie Review, Oopiri Review and Rating, Oopiri Movie Public Talk

Oopiri, the Telugu adaptation of the French film, The Intouchables, starring Nagarjuna, Karthi and Tamannaah is out in theaters near to you. The French film still has a place among the World best movies and it is Oopiri's turn to prove its worth.

Story:

Vikaram Aditya(Nagarjuna) is a paralysed billionaire who needs a care taker to bring spice in his other wise boring life. He interviews a number of candidates before stumbling upon a small time crook Seenu(Karthi) and appoints him as his assistant.

Seenu’s careless attitude and liveliness wins Vikaram’s heart big time and changes his life completely. But life can get pretty tough as it induces problems into Seenu’s life through his personal problems. Rest of the story is as to how both these characters fight their problems and stand for each other in life.

Plus Points:

Oopiri is definitely a breadth of fresh air amidst the routine and monotonous commercial cinema which Tollywood is used to. Director Vamsi Paidipalli should be lauded for adapting the remake and setting it up brilliantly for Telugu nativity. The emotions, fun, simplicity and larger than life attitude of the characters will win your hearts big time.

What can we say about Nagarjuna. After entertaining the audience as Bangaru Raju, he takes a complete u-turn and wins the heart of the audience completely. One can easily say that except for Nagarjuna, no one in Tollywood could have pulled off this risky role. Nag’s expressions, vulnerability and soberness in his performance will make you teary eyed.
But the scenes stealer of the film is undoubtedly Karthi. He makes a thumping debut and bowls you over as Seenu. Be it his wittiness, the vicious smile and lovable performance, he walks away with the cake. The bromance between Nag and Karthi is also one of the biggest highlights of the film. Vamsi Paidipalli has brought out wonderful chemistry from these actors which is the main stay of the film.

Not even for one second, you feel apologetic about Nag’s character and the way with which the director has showcased this is just wonderful. Tamannah looks gorgeous and her love track with Karthi evokes huge laughs. Jayasudha and Prakash Raj do their jobs well in her supporting roles.

Minus Points:

Second half of the film gets slightly dragged a bit. Certain scenes during this Paris episode could have been trimmed down to engage the audience even more. There are certain dull moments during this time as the pace of the film dips a little.

Oopiri is undoubtedly a class act and those who expect something commercial fun from the famous star cast will be disappointed. The front benchers and so called mass audience might find the proceedings a bit slow.

Performances:

Nagarjuna's performance is undoubtedly the highlight of the movie. He proved his ability to emote some of the finest emotions, just with his eyes. Though he acted as a quadriplegic patient in the film, he appeared totally lively on-screen and most importantly, you will only see Vikram and Srinu in the film, but not Nagarjuna and Karthi.

Karthi's energy levels, comedy timing made the film a fun watch. The bromance between the leading men is everything that makes Oopiri deep. Tamannaah was aptly cast. Along with her flawless beauty and effortless acting, her already registered chemistry with Karthi came as a bonus. Grabriella, Prakash Raj, Jayasudha and everybody else, performed skilfully. Anushka, Shriya Saran and Adivi Sesh's cameos adds the thrill.

Technical Aspects & Analysis:

Music by Gopi Sunder deserves an applause. He fueled life into the movie, with his soulful background score. Though songs were not so catchy, they felt meaningful in the pace of the movie. Director Vamsi Paidipally, stuck majorly loyal to the original version, The Intouchables, and a couple of scenes he altered, were finely done.

Except the remark that, the movie is a bit slow during the second half, there are no major complaints about the film, also keeping aside the commercial adjustments made. The beauty of the film remain in the story and how the cast and crew contributed in the right measures.

Production values and cinematography were top-notch. The first half of the film is highly engaging, which actually has set the mood right. Needless to say, Nagarjuna has another winner in hands.

Verdict:

Oopiri, is for all of you, who are waiting to breathe a fresh air in the Tollywood. Being genuine to its content and genre, the movie is packaged to be largely appealing to all kinds of the audience. Do catch up Oopiri, if you want to have a heartful movie watching experience.
