About 3000 new APSRTC buses will be seen on the roads in the Andhra pradesh state soon. APSRTC Manging director Smabasiva Rao met Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu today and discussed the same. As per the reports, CM had given permission for running new buses in the place of age-old buses.
Speaking to the media, APSRTC MD stated that the passengers will not be burdened for additional 3000 new buses.
It rained profits for APSRTC, the state owned Transportation system made a merry in the Sankranthi season. The corporation helped 5.5 Lakh people got to their destination from 8th to 18th of this month.
In these days, RTC earned an average of 12 Crore income per day. On Monday, RTC created a new record by earning 20.25 Crores. This is the highest earning of the Corporation in a single day.
RTC on the lines of Private travels is coming up with Special buses with premium ticket rates during festival season to pump its incomes. Leaving aside the morality, it will be a huge boost for the cash strapped corporation.
