Hindupur (Anantpur): Tollywood actor and local legislator Nandamuri Balakrishna on Thursday laid the foundation stone for weaker section NTR Housing Scheme at Kirikera in the mandal.
He promised houses to the homeless under the scheme and noted that 16,000 units under the scheme have been sanctioned to the district. Across the State, 1.93 lakh houses will be built under the scheme.
He said that 500 houses were sanctioned to his constituency and sought 2,000 more for the constituency. He said that he would speak to Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on the issue.
