Founder of Telugu desam party NT Rama Rao, former Chief Minister of United Andhra pradesh state YSR, Present handrababu Naidu and many leaders who promised complete prohibition on liquor in the Election promises were not able to fulfil the same due to various reasons.
To be honest, complete prohibition on liquor is IMPOSSIBLE in a state like Andhra pradesh. Many Political leaders and former Chief Ministers came to this conclusion.
But, still some political parties are trying to misguide the public stating complete prohibition on liquor is possible.
Yesterday, at the Vidyardhi Yuvabheri, YSR Congress president YS Jaganmohan Reddy announced complete prohibition on liquor will be implemented in Andhra Pradesh if his party comes to power.
When a first year student of Samhitha college pointed out about the numerous death in the recent past due to liquor at the Vidyardhi Yuvabheri, Jagan faulted AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu for not fulfilling his promise of reducing the liquor shops in the state.
Assuring that he will be coming to power within 2 or 3 years, Jagan vowed to implement total prohibition in AP. He, however, maintained only rich people will have access to liquor in his regime as they alone can bear the expenses of liquor-related diseases.
Chief Minister Chandrababu naidu made many election promises to lure the public and get their votes. After attaining power, very few promises are being fulfilled. Is Jagan following Chandrababu's steps?
