82 feet biggest clay Ganesh idol in Visakha, 63 feet idol in Vijayawada
A huge Ganesh idol is set up in Visakhapatnam and this is 82 feet tall and this is set up mutually by Visakha Integrated Social Welfare Association and Viswa organisation. This Vinayaka idol is said to be the mark of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana which is put up as a part of promoting Go Green Ganesha. This idol is set up in Kunchumalaya temple in Gajuwaka.
Guinness Record for 8,100 kg Tapeswaram laddu for fifth consecutive year
Tapeswaramladdu to enter Guinness Book of World Records for the fifth time in a row. Sri Bhakta Anjaneya Sweets at Tapeswaram has broke its own record by making laddu weighing 8,100 kg. Sri Bhakta Anjaneya Sweets has begun making laddu with 6,000 kg and increased weight by 500 kg every year. Laddu made by Sri Bhakta Anjaneya Sweets can be kept for 15 days and later it can be distributed to devotees.
AP, TS getting ready to celebrate Ganesh festival with fervour
Telugu-speaking states are getting ready to celebrate Vinayaka Chavithi festival with religious fervour. Thousands of Ganesh idols ranging in different sizes and shapes have been installed atcolourfully decorated pandals. On the other hand, environmentalists are creating awareness about clay Ganesh idols. In Visakhapatnam, a Ganesh idol with a height of 83 feet was installed near Arya Vysya Kalyana Mandapam in old Gajuwaka industrial area and another idol with a height of 111 feet was installed at double road.
Use clay Ganesh idols, protect environment: BJP MLA
Telangana BJP MLA Laxman gave a call to protect environment from pollution. He advised people to celebrate Vinayaka Chavithi festival by worshipping clay Ganesh idols. Laxman participated in an awareness rally organised Bhagyanagar Vysya Youth Association at Tank Bund in Hyderabad to create awareness about clay Ganesh idols. Speaking on the occasion, Laxman said protection of environment is a continuous process.
