‘AP Master Plan will be ready by June’, says CRDA Commissioner

CRDA Commissioner's press meet on Capital development details

Capital Regional Development Authority Commissioner Nagulapalli Srikanth said that the master plan for the construction of State Capital will be ready by June.

Speaking to media on Wednesday, the land pooling will be taken by for acquiring 10,000 acres of land by the end of this month. He said that it would be ready by June end before calling for objections if any from stakeholders on ownerships issues, boarders issues etc., He said that all the objections would be addressed by the respective polling officer.

The CRDA commissioner said that once the consent letters were issued, it cannot be revoked. Land polling certificate will be issued within nine months from the date of consent letters.

Srikanth said that 24 villages were notified under the capital region. He added that vast lands were being pooled to have a reserve land bank for the next 50 to 100 years to meet the requirements.The Singapore team will be visiting on February 2 to 4 in the CRDA region for collecting information for the master plan.

Online facility for NRIs
The AP CRDA is providing online services land owners residing abroad and NRIs whose lands have been identified under the land pooling process. The CRDA has incorporated a provision to NRIs to send an email giving consent to give their acceptance letters and this could be followed by submission of a written affidavit which could be handed over by their family members or relatives here, said Srikanth.

Commissioner’s comments sparks immediate reaction
GUNTUR: Srikanth’s comments saying that the farmers in the notified villages would not be allowed to cultivate their lands after signing the development agreement received an immediate reaction from YSRCP.

YSRCP MLAS from Mangalagiri Alla Ramakrishna Reddy said that the farmers were determined to continue cultivation. Reacting over the comments of CRDA Commissioner, he said that the party would stand by farmers who were determined to carry out their cultivation. He said that the government is trying to coerce the farmers into parting with their lands forcefully.
