Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh government is yet to give postings to at least 25 All India Service (AIS) officers including IPS and IAS officers with the result all of them have been sitting idle and twirling their fingers for the past one month at their respective residences.

Its over a months since the final allotment of the AIS officers has been done in AP. Some of the 25 officers have been visiting the secretariat every day to find out about their postings.

On the other hand, some of the other AIS officers continue to hold additional charges.

Apparently, 10 IPS and seven IAS officers have been awaiting a nod from Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for their posting. However, since a month Naidu has been busy and unable to decide their postings.

Those IAS officers who have been waiting for their postings include Satyanarayana, Sridhar, Papireddy, Usha Kumari, Vikas Raj, Rajat Kumar and D. Srinivasulu, according to the AP general administration department (GAD).

GAD officials, meanwhile, indicated that IAS officers Rajat Kumar and Usha Kumari could be reverted to Telangana government as they had originally opted for TS posting. The Centre is likely to accept their request, GAD sources said.

GAD officials are believed to have informed the AIS officers awaiting postings not to come to the secretariat every day.
