There are no permanent friends, enemies in politics, goes a famous saying. The prevailing politics in Andhra Pradesh is a quintessential example for proving the saying right. Congress, TDP have been arch rivals and used to slug it out with each other for political space. But things have changed in the last two years. Post bifurcation of the State, Congress faced severe poll drubbing and now confined to a third slot. With no other option left and unable to join hands with Opposition YSR Congress, Congress-led by Raghuveera Reddy, Botsa Satyanarayana and Chiranjeevi have offered an olive branch to TDP government.

AP PCC chief Raghuveera Reddy openly stated that Congress party in Andhra Pradesh is willing to work under the leadership of Chandrababu Naidu against BJP-led NDA government. Raghuveera stated that Congress is ready to work with TDP for Special Category Status to AP. "BJP has let down the people of Andhra Pradesh. During passing of AP Reorganisation Bill, Congress had promised to give Special Category Status. However, BJP failed to keep up our promises, assurances to the truncated state. It's time to unite against Centre. We have no qualms in working under the leadership of Mr Naidu," said Raghuveera.

Former minister Botsa too shared the similar opinion by stating that Congress would fight tooth and nail for the Special Category Status to AP.
