Andhra Pradesh Goverment preferred Nellore over Vijayawada & Guntur, where the new capital will be built, to set up International Schools. While the Global School in Nellore is already finalised, Those in Visakhapatnam and Tirupati awaiting the final confirmation from the Government.

All the 3 International Schools will be constructed under the Public-Private Partnership model. Around 15-20 acres have been allotted for these Global Schools by the State Government. The curriculam of this educatioal institutions will be International Baccalaureate (IB) and Cambridge International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE).

AP Government choose Nellore due to various factors. This 5th Most Populous City in AP is well connected with AP Capital (Vijayawada-Guntur) and even Chennai, Sri City which is the integrated business city, Satish Dhawan Space Centre (Sriharikota) and the Krishnapatnam port.
