As many as four Indians have beel able to be part of the Top 100 Global Rich list. Mukesh Ambani (41) of Reliance Industries, Dilip Sanghvi of Sun Pharma (53), Pallonji Mistry & Family (60) of Tata Sons and Azim Premzi (74) of Wipro made it to the elite club.

While US stays on top with 537 billionaires, China is inching closer to it with 430 billionaires.

This is for the first time India recorded more billionaires than Britain and Russia. India have 97 billionaires (27 more than 2014 stats) to claim the 3rd spot and their combined wealth is upto $266 billion. Mumbai is the base for most of the Indian billionaires.

Russia and UK occupy the 4th and 5th positions respectively with 93 and 80 billionaires each.

US remains the favourite city of the rich for being headquarters for 91 billionaires. About 6 Asia cities have made it to the Top 10 favourite city of the super-rich: Mumbai, Hong Kong, Beijing, Shenzhen, Taipei and Shanghai.
