Awaiting acceptance letter from Chief Minister Chandrashekar Rao
Nalgonda: The Union Minister of Law and Justice D V Sadananda Gowda on Saturday assured that separate High Court would be set up for Telangana State in Hyderabad within three or four months after getting acceptance letter from Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to provide building for it.
Speaking at a meeting organised as a part of election campaign of MLC BJP candidate of Warangal-Nalgonda-Khammam graduates constituency Errabelli Rammohan Rao in Nalgonda town, the Union Minister informed that he has made it clear to the Action Committee for Telangana High Court that the Centre is ready to set up separate High Court for Telangana State as early as possible. The Action Committee members, who met him in Hyderabad, have assured him that they would furnish Chief Minister’s letter to Union Ministry of Law and Justice within 10 days.
Urging the Telangana advocates, who were boycotting the duties for separate High Court for Telangana State, to withdraw their agitation and attend their duties from Monday onwards, Sadananda Gowda clarified that the Centre is ready to implement all the promises made to Telangana State in A P Reorganization Bill. Referring to the hue and cry raised by some parties over his assurance on Telangana High Court, he averred that his announcement would not attract violation of code of conduct as the matter is not new one and it was already mentioned in A P Reorganization Bill.
He also informed that the separate High Court for Andhra Pradesh would be set up in three years at the place where may be it decided by AP government.
Reminding that Telangana is a newly formed state, he felt that everybody expects help of the Centre for more funds for its development.
Assuring that Narendra Modi government would definitely extend helping hand to Telangana State government, he pointed out that Telangana State would get Rs 25,000 crore, which was not even expected by the Telangana State government, with the Centre’s decision to devolve 62 per cent of Tax revenues to the States.
Claiming that Legislative Council, which is also called upper house, had a crucial role than Legislative Assembly in the newly formed States, he urged the graduate voters to elect Rammohan Rao, who is an educationalist and social worker, to Legislative Council by casting first priority vote to him.
E Rammohan Rao, BJP Nalgonda district president Veerelli Chandrasekhar, the TDP Nalgonda constituency in-charge Kancharla Bhupal Reddy and several BJP leaders attended the programme.
