Andhra Pradesh capital entering Red Zone, AP capital land pooling entering Red Zone, AP capital land pooling, AP capital entering Red ZoneThe major project of Andhra Pradesh government, which involves acquiring farm lands through land pooling, is currently reaching halfway through even as the deadline announced by the AP government is only three days away.
The government has plans to acquire 37,000 acres of land initially in 29 villages which has been identified as the core area. While farmers from some of villages are totally supportive of the process, many farmers in the demarcated area are not fine with parting with their fertile lands.
While so far 9200 farmers have reportedly v given letters accepting this deal voluntarily, nearly 14,000 farmers seem to be opposing the idea with 19,000 acres still to be taken over as per the original plan.
Now with only three days and resistance brewing, there is a fear that anytime the crisis may explode. At the same time, TDP sources say that they can manage everything and they might go for land acquisition act if farmers still keep resisting.
