Andhra Pradesh Secretariat would soon become the first e-Secretariat in the country by implementing full-fledged e-file system in all government departments .
e-office at the Secretariat was inaugurated by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu in the past. Implementing e-file method from Secretariat to the village would facilitate good governance by ensuring speed and transparency. In view of the many advantages in file tracking and file management, it was decided to introduce e-file system in State government offices.
e-file system would be first introduced in 10 departments and extended to others in a phased manner. It would not only reduce work burden but also save valuable time for employees. Not only that, a file could be cleared from anywhere.
Mr. Naidu urged employees to cooperate in implementing e-file system and said one would end up lagging behind if technology was not used. He expressed confidence that older employees, who might it find it difficult, would adopt it fast.
He said experts would impart training to all employees in Secretariat in implementing e-file system.
He also wanted the IT department to explore the possibility introduce finger-prints and iris access methods to ensure that nobody misused the new system.
