Arvind Kejriwal ended his 12-day medical leave in Bangalore on Monday with him tweeting that he is feeling better now and ready to resume his duties from Tuesday.
"Cough gone, sugar under control. Feeling fresh n fit. Am excited to return to resume work," the Delhi Chief Minister tweeted. "Grateful 2 Jindal institute, its docs, staff. Congratulations 2 Sitaram ji for setting up such a wonderful institute n running it so well (sic)," he said in another tweet.
The 46-year-old, who underwent naturopathy treatment for his chronic cough and blood sugar level, was discharged from the institute on Monday after final check-up and briefing by the doctors treating him since March 6.
"I got a lot of time to think in these 12 days, especially on education and Public Distribution System. I had a few consultations with (Deputy Chief Minister) Manish Sisodia and will make a few announcements soon." the Aam Aadmi Party chief said.
"I visited the ISKCON Akshay Patra kitchen in Bangalore too. We will review their mid-day meal programme and see if we can replicate it in Delhi," the 46-year-old leader said.
AAP suspends rebel ex-MLA
Meanwhile, the Aam Aadmi Party suspended former MLA, Rajesh Garg, who on Monday served a legal notice to Kumar Vishwas for calling him a blackmailer and an opportunist. In the notice, Garg stated that Vishwas's remarks has tarnished his image and asked for an unconditional apology within 15 days.
Vishwas had alleged Garg of blackmailing him in return for a party ticket in the recent Delhi Assembly elections. Last week, Garg had released an audio tape purportedly showing Kejriwal discussing the poaching of six Congress MLAs during the President's Rule in Delhi last year. The AAP had dismissed the sting calling it an attempt to defame the party.
The sting had its immediate fallout with senior AAP leader Anjali Damania quitting the party on Twitter. "I quit, I have not come into AAP for this nonsense. I believed him, I backed Arvind for principles not horse-trading," she had tweeted.
