Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh Municipal Administration Minister P Narayana today clarified that astrologers, after consulting the priests, had set the muhurat for the ground-breaking ceremony of Amaravati, AP's capital city.

AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will therefore lay the foundation stone at 08.49 hours on June 2 as decided by the astrologers.

The minister further said that the function will take place between Prakasam Barrage and Borupalem at the 8.5km stone.

He said though the state astrologer Garkeya had found fault with the muhurat, the government will go ahead with the ground-breaking ceremony as decided earlier.
