A woman named Chekka Durgamba has approached the High Court regarding her land in East Godavari district. The joint court for both the Telugu States has taken up the case and issued a notice to Mukesh Ambani, the head of Reliance Industries.

As per the petition, Reliance Industries has acquired Durgamba's farm-land without her consent and the total transaction was done with forged documents produced by another mediator named Narayana Rao. Upon knowing this, Durgamba was shocked to see that she is no more the owner of her own land and approached the High Court.

When inquired, it was said that the whole transaction was an idea of Narayana Rao, the real estate broker. When Reliance Industries was acquiring the lands as a part of its land-pooling activity few years back for the setup of their company, Narayana has sold the land that originally belonged to Durgamba. Not digging deep into the land details, Reliance has bought the land and is into soup now.

We need to wait until June 3rd to see how the High Court handles this cheating/fraud case and settles the issue. Durgamba is still optimistic of getting back her land ownership rights.
