YSRCP Leader Prasad Reddy's brutally murder took place in Rapthadu Tehsildar Office in Anantapur district when he was attacked by 6 men. YCP party leaders allege that TDP leaders are involved in the murder of the YCP leader and that it is a politicial murder. YCP activists are protesting this murder and have set the Tehsildar Office on fire. Ex-MLA Gurunath Reddy, to whom Prasad Reddy was a close member, has also opined that it is a political murder by TDP party.

Senior YSRCP leader and a close associate of former MLA Gurunath Reddy, Prasad Reddy has been hacked to death in Rapthdu MRO's room where Prasad Reddy was holding discussions with the officials. Reacting over this, YSRCP spokesperson Vasireddy Padma has alleged that TDP offices have turned into murder office. She has further alleged that ever since the TDP government came to power, several YSRCP activists have been killed.
