Chandrababu Naidu invites Komamura Corporation to A.P.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu will arrive at New Delhi on Thursday evening after a four-day visit to Japan. Mr. Naidu is scheduled to meet Union Ministers in the national capital on Friday to take up pending issues pertaining to the State.

On the last day of his Japan visit, the Chief Minister interacted with representatives of Komamura Corporation. The company operates in the optics space and manufactures view/technical cameras, pro-digital photo equipment, pro-broadcasting equipment that would be useful in rescue operations during disasters on land and sea at night time.

Mr. Toshiyuki Komamura, president of the company, said that the company was interested in making the lenses and cameras in India and offered to explore the possibilities of setting up a unit in Andhra Pradesh and export equipment to other parts of the world from there.

Explaining the advantages of having a long coastline on the East, the Chief Minister said that Andhra Pradesh has the potential to become the logistics hub of South East Asia. He invited the company to visit Andhra Pradesh and explore the facilities available in the state.

Andhra Pradesh Ministers Yanamala Ramakrishnudu and P. Narayana, Advisor (Communications) Parakala Prabhakar, principal secretaries P.V. Ramesh, S.S. Rawat, Ajay Jain, CRDA CEO Srikanth and other officials were present in the meeting.
