Chandrababu Naidu,Krishnapatnam Project

On one hand, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has said that he was willing to hold talks with the Telangana government regarding power sharing from Krishnapatnam Project.

Ironically, in a meeting held with Central government officials, the officials representating Andhra Pradesh government have argued that this would not be possible.

The officials were quite clear that there was no way that the power from Hinduja and krishanapatnam would be shared with Telangana government and conveyed the same message to officials from Central Electricity Authority or CEA.

Meanwhile, the Telangana officials insisted that as per earlier decided guidelines regarding power buying and power sharing, Telangana must be given a share from all power projects. But the Andhra Pradesh officials put their down to the proposal.

It is now said that CEA chairman intervened in the matter and ordered both the states to submit reports regarding the issue.

Now, if CEA too agreed to the argument put forth by AP officials, then Chandra Babu would have had to give an explanation regarding the statement he had made while touring Karimanagar.
