Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chadnrababu Naidu's strategy to sell his state at Bengaluru received a setback and boomeranged. He had sought to display AP  wherever he went and promote investor interest in the new state to build urban infrastructure and also manufacturing industry.

During his visit to Bengaluru to attend the Aero show, Chandrababu Naidu urged  industrialists to come and set up industry in Andhra Pradesh and use the ecosystem of Bengaluru Airport. "Bengaluru Airport is just 50 kms from Andhra Pradesh border," he said.

Naidu showcased his strategy and roadmap of promoting 11 airports in Andhra Pradesh, six ultra modern ones to the existing five airports in the state. He also talked of high speed  trains - Bullet trains connecting Bangalore and Tirupati, Vijayawada and Chennai to augment the business needs of the industrialists in the southern states.

The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister also had a long session with the Union  defence minister Manohar Parrikkar and impressed upon him to put up more defence units in Andhra Pradesh at Visakhapantam, Kakinada and also a missile testing range.

At the same meeting, Chandrababu Naidu poohpoohed the remarks of his  Karnataka counterpart that the Hero Motors could not continue in AP as it faced some issues over land, power and water."No comments," he said to a contention by the Karnataka Chief Minister Siddharamaiah with regard to Hero Motors.

Chandrababu was annoyed that media was questioning him about Hero Motors rather than listen to his projection of AP and its resources. It shows that Naidu is used to only the 'Yes,Sir' Media that throngs his party office and also the Secretariat. He was not used to an-inquiring media which did not swallow everything without a pinch of salt.
