HYDERABAD: The slanging match in the wake of cash-for-vote scam between political parties continued with each side vying to outdo their rivals in hurling choicest abuses.
As the war of words escalated in its vigour between TDP and TRS in entire episode, the Congress chimed in by launching a scathing attack on both chief ministers K Chandrasekhar Rao and N Chandrababu Naidu.
Taking a swipe at Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for calling Congress leaders as nincompoops while referring that he (KCR) was the one who alerted the party that their MLAs are also being lured by TDP before the MLC elections, TPCC working president Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka hit back: “We do not know which sanyasi(nincompoop) is speaking to which sanyasi. There are no nincompoops in Congress.”
While Chandrababu Naidu had been caught in video luring the TRS legislator, Chandrasekhar Rao’s attempts were out in open in engineering defections. “Both have to face the wrath of people,” he said and demanded that the governor respond to the alleged defections encouraged by TRS.
Roads and buildings minister Tummala Nageswara Rao took exception to the AP government’s proposal to set up its own police stations in Hyderabad.
“It is a conspiracy of the TDP to defame the Telangana government by proposing to set up police stations in Hyderabad. All the AP government can do is run their administration from Hyderabad without any right over it,” he added.
Demanding Naidu to resign from his post, TRS MLA Jeevan Reddy said that the AP CM should face the investigation of ACB if he claimed to be an innocent. Naidu should get ready to go to jail, he warned.
Agriculture minister Pocharam Srinivas Reddy sought to know why the AP government had brought its police personnel to Hyderabad. He alleged that Naidu was conspiring to make his way out from the scam.
