Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh deputy Chief Minister K.E. Krishna Murthy raised the issue of Rayalaseema’s rights. He said the people of Rayalaseema will support the construction of the capital city, but priority in irrigation and development should be given to them.
Mr Murthy, who hails from Kurnool district, said that he has told this to Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. He said that they are planning to hold a convention with Rayalaseema people in support of the capital city.
Mr Murthy also mentioned that discussions are on to hold the convention with backward class people or only with Gouda community. He also said that it may take two years to lay the foundation stone for the capital and the state needs to be ready with an action plan and funds.
Mr Murthy said YSRC MLA B. Rajendranath Reddy in his speech on the capital Bill, mixed up land pooling and land acquisition. The CM, however, covered all points replying to the debate on the capital Bill.
