On Wednesday, a 15-year-old girl from Eluru in West Godavari committed suicide by hanging self from a ceiling fan in her room.

Identified as Katte Rachana, a class-X student at a social welfare ashram, hailed from Ramaravugudem of Dendaluru mandal.

According to the reports, Rachana in the wee hours of Wednesday had committed suicide and the watchman, who noticed the girl hanging, informed the ashram's principal.

Later police was informed who sent the body for autopsy. While no suicide note was found at the spot, the girl's parents and family staged a protest at the school blaming the school management for the girl’s death.
