Nalgonda: Minister for Industries Jupally Krishna Rao on Wednesday called upon the TRS leaders to ensure fruits of welfare and developmental schemes of the state government reached the people. Speaking at the district-level party meet conducted to elect party district unit president, Krishna Rao said that the people had high expectations on the TRS government.
To meet the expectations of the people, the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao had taken up several welfare schemes and developmental programmes in addition to the promises made in the elections manifesto, he said “The Chief Minister has been striving hard to take Telangana State to top in the country in near future through implementation of various welfare and developmental programmes,” he added.
Recalling warnings by Andhra rulers that Telangana would face serious power shortage if stated was divided, the minister said that Chandrasekhar Rao government disproved such predictions of doom within 10 months after coming to power by ensuring uninterrupted power supply even in April.
Energy Minister G Jagdish Reddy said that the party workers, who participated in Telangana agitation and worked for the strengthening of the party, would get opportunities soon and urged the partymen to work for the strengthening of the party from village level.
“TRS should win 12 Assembly seats and two MP seats in the district in the next elections,” he said.Banda Narender Reddy was elected as district president of the party. Legislative Council Deputy Chairman Nethi Vidya Sagar, Government Whip G Sunita, the MLCs Karne Prabhakar, Pula Ravinder and Palla Rajeshwar Reddy, MLAs K Prabhakar Reddy and Vemula Veeresham also attended the meeting.
