iPASS to boost Investments in Telangana

Telangana Government has introduced iPASS Act which approves all the permissions for setting up new industries within 30 days. From now, Approvals will be granted within 15-30 days.

iPASS Act is a single window clearance system and approvals will be based on self-certification which is a move that sends the message 'State Government trusts the Investors'. As of now, Telangana Government has approved 25 projects in 30 days time frame. A Task Force has been set up to review the Taxation Structure.

IT Minister K Taraka Rama Rao expressed confidence that iPASS Act will boost investments in Telangana. He said Government is keen on setting up Pharma City, Textile Park and 3 Industrial Corridors. He also stated Telangana will be power surplus state by 2016 and 10% of the water in all reservoirs will be used for Industrial purpose.
