Hyderabad: Heaping praises on Telangana martyrs and workers for achieving Telangana, Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao said Telangana had been achieved after a lot of sacrifices — cadres facing lathi charge, arrests, going to jail, insults, humiliations and insinuations. “We fought from gully to Dilli, Jaladrusyam to Janadrusyam and forced the Centre to grant statehood. I began alone and was joined by lakhs midway and achieved Telangana. I dedicate my life to you and for Telangana. I bow my head before you for achieving Telangana. Let’s move forward to make a Bangaru Telangana,” he told the plenary.

He vowed once again that he would not seek votes in the next elections if the government failed to complete the Telangana Water Grid and asked workers to oversee its implementation. He promised to complete all irrigation projects, including the Pranahita Chevella.

Asking unemployed youth not to be disheartened, he promised to create 1 lakh government jobs in two years, launch the pending KG to PG scheme and the two bed-room housing scheme next year, regularise services of contract workers “delayed due to division of employees” soon, fill up nominated posts of market committees, temple trust boards, corporations and others in the next two-three months.

The TRS cadres cheered the CM regarding the nominated posts, forcing him to say in a lighter vein, “It’s a warning to ministers and legislators. If you don’t take steps, you will face the music.”

Stating that Telangana was free of power cuts and would have surplus power in the next three years with 24,000 MW, he said the world’s best new industrial policy would be launched in May. He asked local companies to go for expansion and invited national and international companies to invest in the state.

He announced a hike in the interest-free loan to DWACRA groups from Rs 5 lakh to Rs 10 lakh, extension of Metro Rail to the RGIA, Ramachandrapuram and other places.
