National Highway,Farmers,Farmers demand MSP
Nalgonda: The farmers on Friday staged a dharna on National Highway 65 at Suryapet in the district demanding Minimum Support Price (MSP) to their crop, which was stocked at local market yard. When the agents denied the MSP to their paddy, the angry farmers attacked the office of Suryapet market yard and damaged the furniture.
They alleged that the agents were syndicated and denying the MSP to their paddy at the market yard. They pointed out that their paddy, which was shifted to the market yard to sell, was inundated in the rain due to delay in purchase of their crop by the agents. Later, they reached the national highway and staged dharna resulting in the traffic jam for a while. They raised slogans demanding MSP to their crop.
